Ethiopia - Gelada Baboon

During my hiking trip in Ethiopia we came across a large group of Gelada Baboons, a species which is endemic to the Simien Mountains. They are grass-eaters and well known for their 'red heart'. The group accepted us when we were sitting in the grass at a distance of 10 meters. Very impressive experience!

Ethiopia - Balloon issues...

Little girls on a river bank in the Simien Mountains in Ethiopia. While their mothers were doing the laundry in the river, they had some fun with balloons we gave them. Unfortunately, the lifetime of a balloon is very short, so you can imagine what happened when one exploded...
